We meet the first Wednesday of every month except July and August at 7:30 PM following 7 PM mass which we encourage members to attend.
Dues are five dollars ($5.00) per year (January to December).
Purpose of the Altar Society is to purchase and take care of the altar and church needs as requested by the Pastor.
Membership is open to any woman parishioner. New members are always welcome. There will be a mass offered on May 31 at 9:30 AM for the intentions of the Altar Society members.
We prepare the altar for weekend worship on the first Thursday of the month following the 8:15 AM mass. The following weeks of the month, we clean on Friday following 8:15 AM mass. This involves vacuuming, dusting, watering plants, preparing flowers for the altar, removing old bulletins and trash and any other requests from Fr. Garu. Helpers are always appreciated and you don't have to be a member of the Altar Society to join us.
We have representatives to Church Women United of the Tonawandas whose purpose is to encourage church women to come together in visible fellowship to witness to their faith and to go out together as instruments of reconciling love. They meet five times a year at different churches. For more information, call Sharon Davignon at 695-3017.
We also have representatives to the Council of Catholic Women. Even though the group from the diocese has disbanded,Catholic women from the Niagara Falls area still come together for fellowship, mass and speakers. Any questions can be directed to Marie Toellner at 692-7039
